Directly on the company's homepage, they state that 95% of their customers would recommend their service.
However, when it comes to researching the company's customer reviews, we haven't found nearly as many reviews as we have for other similar company, like we have for Property Rescue, Quick Move Now, or HouseBuyFast.
That being said, the company currently boasts an excellent rating of 4.5 on TrustPilot, which tells us that they are, indeed a trustworthy company.
However, it doesn't look like the company has claimed their TrustPilot page, and the review site shows a warning that they "may use unsupported invitation methods," which does raise a red flag on our end.
Still, the company has a good rating, so let's take a look at what their customers have had to say about working with Spring!
How is SpringMove when it comes to their customer service?
According to Mr M. Sanders, he was "very pleased with the service provide."
Valerie at Spring has given exemplary service in our prospective purchase of a McCarthy Stone apartment for my in-laws. She provided up to date information during the process and gathered additional, unexpected information for us when requested.
And in another glowing review, the Tubb Family states the SpringMove pulled through for them precisely when they needed it most!
Everyone knows that moving house can be stressful and uncertain, the team at Spring were there for us when we thought our chain was broke. Spring provided reassurance and practical solutions to fix the chain, at a pace, with openness and transparency. Great service, great team!
Does SpringMove truly make a reasonable cash offer?
While most cash buyers need to pay below market value, it's still expected that they'll make an offer that is fair and reasonable to the seller.
However, in one not-so-good review from John, he states that the company was pleasant to deal with, but their offer was much lower than he expected.
Although communications and follow up were good, and the people friendly to deal with, the cash offer made was measly so we didn't progress; it was also more complex than expected (ie a low amount and then a fixed percentage of anything above the marketed value). Shortly after turning Spring down, we have agreed a sale in the normal route. At the sale price agreed, Spring would have pocketed £64k which is now ours.
In another 3-star review, Vicky Matthews says that she could not accept their offer because of a "very low price!"
Very efficient process- helpful pleasant staff; unfortunately offered a very low price and we could not accept.
And in yet another 1-star review, William Morris warns against believing the company's initial offer, claiming that they'll lower their offer after the property has been valued by their underwriters.
Do not be fooled by their initial offer to purchase your home, or their online calculator, after they get 2 estate agents to value your home, valuation reports they do not show you, their so called in house underwriters then drop their offer 1 week later by at least another £60,000.00. One of the biggest rip-off companies in the property purchasing industry.
But as we all know, it's impossible to keep everyone happy all the time, so let's take a look at some other customer reviews.
Will SpringMove pressure you into selling your home?
According to Mr G. Koester, Spring was helpful, did not rush the sale, and did not pressure him to sell.
They helped us achieve our goal. We were not rushed or pressurised. They allowed us to move with two weeks grace after completion, this allowed us to decorate and make good our new house, this has been extremely helpful. All the staff we spoke to were very helpful. We would recommend spring move.
And another satisfied customer, Pam Fish, claims that she has "no real complaints, just a few niggles." But thanks to the company's response, she feels good about the company and the fact that they're listening to what their customers have to say.
Mostly the experience was slick and efficient but there have been occasions when I feel a little lost as I've had no feedback and i don't know what's happening. I have since writing this had a personal reply. This is all I need, actually. Assurance that Springmove are listening.
Is SpringMove a highly recommended company?
While we have found a number of negative reviews, the majority of reviews for Spring are positive, leaning to their being a highly reputable, and highly recommended cash buyer.
I have recently sold my house to Spring and the transaction was dealt with by Rebecca Young, a Senior Buyer. I found the whole process was dealt with very satisfactorily. Rebecca was very professional and efficient and always “went the extra mile” to deal with any queries. She even made herself available outside normal office hours on occasion and I found she has a good sense of humour which always helps !
And according to Mrs Jeffries, she had a "hassle-free retirement flat sale."
Unable to sell my late mother's retirement flat and struggling with the associated service charges and council tax, I made the decision to appoint a company to take it off my hands. It was with some trepidation that I entered into the 'we buy any home' process as it doesn't get a good press. However, everyone I dealt with at NPT was efficient, straightforward and fair, even through the difficult height of the coronavirus lockdown.
So as we can see there's some bad, but a lot of good to say about selling with Spring!

Overall, SpringMove has a very clean, well-designed website that makes it easy for homeowners to request a cash offer for their homes.
The website also includes a wide range of information about the company itself, and the UK property industry, which is quite useful for anyone who may be interested in buying or selling in the near future.
And despite the fact that the company seems legit and boasts a number of positive reviews, we don't feel that they're the best choice on the market.
While most of their reviews our positive, we found that a good number of customer had complaints about their offer, claiming that the company lowered the offer as the selling process progressed.
This is in direct contradiction to the company's claim of providing a "guaranteed offer," which is stated directly at the top of their homepage.
Regardless, Spring does boast a number of positive reviews, making them an ideal candidate for anyone in the UK looking to sell their home fast.
